Police: Man Shot Dead In Back Of The Yards
(STMW) -- A man was shot to death in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Saturday afternoon on the South Side, police said.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 4:50 p.m. in the 5300 block of South Union found the man unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and neck, according to Chicago Police.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately confirm the death.
Additional details, including the man's age, were not available.
