LeBron James' Logo Was Illuminated Above Simeon's Entrance
(CBS) In town for Tuesday evening's season opener against the Bulls, Cavaliers star LeBron James on Monday posted an Instagram photo of Simeon Career Academy that featured his King James logo illuminated on the front of the building.
Simeon is Bulls star Derrick Rose's alma mater, as well as that of Bucks second-year pro Jabari Parker. Simeon's a Nike school, and James is signed with Nike. Rose is aligned with Adidas.
"Had to send a Huge S/O to my young boys and all at Simeon Academy. Chi town finest!" James wrote in his Instagram post.
On Tuesday morning at shootaround, James indicated the logo being associated with Simeon was a collaboration between him and Nike.
"If my name's on it, it is something personal," he said. "But it is also a Nike thing. It's a great academy. Those kids are unbelievable."
