The Bernstein Brief: You Want Nate Robinson Back?

By Dan Bernstein--
CBSChicago.com senior columnist

(CBS) People love Nate Robinson, even though he's not very good.

He's small (5-foot-9), fun and has been on eight teams since joining the league in 2005, largely due to a knack for individualized play that can be endearing at times and maddening at others. Pretty much any play called seems to turn into an isolation for him, regardless of score or situation. Despite his size, he's no point guard.

But Bulls fans appreciated his scoring three seasons ago, when he averaged 13.1 points over all 82 games, was once the Eastern Conference Player of the Week and dropped 34 on the Nets in a playoff game in which he also scored 12 straight on his own at one point.

He was waived by the Pelicans on Thursday. Do you like him better than Aaron Brooks?
