In each of the robberies, one or two people approached the victims from behind, hit them on the head with an object, and then demanded or took their property, the alert said.

Two of the robberies happened less than an hour after each other. The first was at 11 p.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of South Stewart Avenue. The second occurred at 11:55 p.m. that same day in the 2000 block of South Wells Street, police said.

The third robbery happened at 4:20 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of West Cullerton Street. The last occurred only a few blocks away at 12:45 a.m. Friday in the 1900 block of South Wells Street.

The suspects are described as one or two black males between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-11, weighing between 160 and 165 pounds as well as one 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-8 female, possibly white Hispanic, weighing 200 pounds.

Anyone with with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
