Suspicious Item Prompts Evacuation Of NW Side Police Station
(CBS) -- A Chicago Police station on the Northwest Side was evacuated Monday afternoon after a man brought in a suspicious item he had received, police said.
The incident occurred at the Chicago Police Shakespeare District station in the 2100 block of North California at 12:35 p.m.
The person who brought in the item, which contained a powdery substance, did not have any ill intent, police said and the suspicion has been determined to be unfounded.
