Police Warn Of West Side Burglaries

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning residents about a string of burglaries in the West Garfield Park and Humboldt Park neighborhoods on the West Side.

In the four burglaries, the suspect forced into a residence and took televisions, computers, cash, jewelry, and personal items, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The most recent incident occurred between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 600 block of North Monticello Avenue in Humboldt Park, the alert said.

The first three burglaries all happened in West Garfield Park on North Hamlin Boulevard in the 100 block between 9 a.m. and midnight Oct. 23, in the 0-99 block between 7 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. Oct 25, and in the 400 block between 5:20 a.m. and 3:51 p.m. Oct. 28, the alert said.
