Loop Link Measuring Mistake Costs City $150K
(CBS) -- The city of Chicago now says a measuring mistake on part of the Loop Link will cost taxpayers $150,000.
Crews were nearly done building a new dedicated bus lane on Washington between Clark and Dearborn early this month when they realized the lane wasn't wide enough so they tore up the pavement and started over.
The city still expects the $41 million project to be done by the end of the year.
