Northwestern To Play Tennessee In Outback Bowl
(CBS) The Northwestern Wildcats will take on the Tennessee Volunteers on New Year's Day in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla.
Northwestern finished the season with a 10-2 record, with wins over Stanford and Wisconsin. The Wildcats are currently ranked 13th in the College Football Playoff rankings. Northwestern last played in the Outback Bowl in 2010, losing to Auburn, 38-35, in overtime.
The Volunteers went 8-4 and are ranked 23rd in the CFP rankings.
The game will take place at 11 a.m. on Jan. 1 in Raymond James Stadium.
