Fatal Dan Ryan Crash Was Alcohol-Related: State Police
(STMW) -- One female was killed and a male was injured in a crash early Friday on the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94).
Their vehicle hit a wall on the inbound local lanes of the Dan Ryan near 63rd Street about 1:20 a.m., according to Illinois State Police. The female died at the scene.
The male was transported to an area hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. Their ages were not immediately available.
Local lanes had been closed between 55th and 71st for a period of time, but all lanes were open as of 5:30 a.m.
Police said alcohol was a factor in the crash.
