Two Alleged Robbers Shot By Employee At SE Side Cell Phone Store
(CBS) -- Two men tried to rob a cell phone store on the South Side, but got something they were not expecting.
Police say the pair entered a T-Mobile store at 95th and Jeffrey. When they announced they were going to rob the store, an employee was ready.
"They were acting like regular customers and they attempted to rob the store," said store district manager Ahmad Yousef.
Police say the store employee shot both men twice. They went to a nearby hospital for treatment on their own and are in serious condition.
