White Sox Add Willie Harris To Player Development Staff

(CBS) The White Sox on Tuesday announced their player development staff for the 2016 season, headlined by former infielder Willie Harris rejoining the organization as a hitting coach for Great Falls, a rookie league affiliate.

Harris played for the White Sox from 2002-'05 and scored the game-winning run in the 2005 World Series clincher.

As previously announced, former White Sox outfielder Aaron Rowand is the organization's new outfield and baserunning coordinator.

Julio Vinas has moved up a level and will manage at Triple-A Charlotte after spending the past three years managing at Double-A Birmingham. Ryan Newman will take over as Birmingham's new manager. He was previously an assistant coach at Charlotte.

Joel Skinner, the manager at Charlotte from 2012-'15, will now serve as manager at advanced Single-A Winston-Salem.

Cole Armstring is the manager at low-level Single-A Kannapolis.

Nick Capra remains the White Sox's director of player development, now entering his fifth season. Kirk Champion remains the field coordinator, also in his fifth season.
