Man Shot And Killed In Evanston

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot to death Tuesday night in north suburban Evanston, police said.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 9:05 p.m. in the 1300 block of Darrow Avenue found a 20-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the head and torso, according to a statement from Evanston police.

The man, an Evanston resident, was taken to Evanston Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about two hours later, police said.

Police said he appears to have been the target of the shooting.
