State Police Ask For Public's Help Identifying Fourth Body Found In Riverdale Garage Last Year

(CBS) -- State Police say they have been able to identify three of the four bodies found stored in a Riverdale garage last fall and now they're asking for help to identify the fourth.

The way the inside of the garage was described by state police and others on the scene, it was like a makeshift morgue.

Anton Godfrey, unlicensed as a mortuary director, stored bodies and cremated remains in his garage in Riverdale, say state police.

Four bodies and a set of cremated remains found this past fall in the garage after Godfrey died.

State Police now say three bodies have been identified, along with the cremated remains and now investigators are asking for help in identifying the fourth body.

Master Sergeant Bradley says the fourth body is a male who had been dressed in a size 5-XL suit coat and in the suit coat pocket was a lottery ticket from October 2014.

If someone comes forward - believing a relative is that fourth body - investigators can confirm the identity by matching dental records to the dental imprint taken of the fourth body.
