Bulls' Nikola Mirotic Chosen To Playing In Rising Stars Challenge

(CBS) Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic has been selected to play in the Rising Stars Challenge on Feb. 12 during All-Star weekend in Toronto.

Mirotic will play for the World Team in the exhibition contest that features first- and second-year NBA players facing off in a United State-vs.-World format. Mirotic also played in the game last year.

Andrew Wiggins and Kristaps Porzingis are the two headliners of the World Team. Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor highlight the U.S. squad.

Mirotic has had an uneven sophomore season. He's averaging 10.6 points on 39 percent shooting while adding 5.9 rebounds. He was the starting power forward out to open the season, but lost that job to Taj Gibson in early December. A stint of starting at small forward also proved mostly unfruitful, as the Bulls have reinserted Tony Snell there.
