Brian Urlacher Joins List Of People Who Are Worked Up About Touchdown Celebrations

(CBS) As Carolina cruised to a 15-1 regular season and prepares for its Super Bowl 50 matchup against Denver, there's been no shortage of outrage and debate over Panthers quarterback Cam Newton's touchdown celebrations, which have included dabbing (Google it if needed) and dancing.

On Thursday, it continued with legendary Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher joining the list of people who get worked up about a player being happy that he succeeded and having fun in the sport he loves. While not specifically mentioning Newton, Urlacher prefers the actions of players like Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who typically has a more muted celebration in handing the ball to the official and just giving out high-fives.

"I played defense so I don't like when guys celebrate with dances and stuff," Urlacher told USA Today. "You know who I like the way he celebrates is Peyton. He kind of gives the guy a handshake and goes back to the sidelines. I think that's a great celebration right there. You don't see him dancing. You don't see him doing all of that stuff. Even when he gets a first down he doesn't do anything."

As they always say, if you don't like something from happening, just prevent it in the first place.
