Two Charged In Connection With Fatal Shooting At Robbins Party
Two men have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a party Thursday night in south suburban Robbins.
The men were told to leave the tattoo party at a home in the 13500 block of South St. Louis about 9 p.m., according to the Cook County sheriff's office.
The party's host, 36-year-old Shamar McGee, went outside and shot at the men multiple times, according to the sheriff's office. One of the men, identified as 18-year-old Anthony Evans, fired back multiple times.
Troy Thompson, 27, a guest at the party, was caught in the crossfire and shot, according to the sheriff's office. The shot went into his right arm and through his torso.
Thompson, who lived in the 200 block of West 119th Street in Blue Island, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
McGee turned himself in Sunday and was charged with first-degree murder, according to the sheriff's office. Evans, of Markham, turned himself in Saturday and was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
Both McGee and Evans were scheduled to appear in bond court Monday in Markham.
