Blackhawks Goalie Scott Darling Announces His Engagement

(CBS) Blackhawks backup goalie Scott Darling announced Monday evening on Instagram that he's engaged to longtime girlfriend Martha Buckley.

"What a lucky guy I am, these two beautiful ladies want to spend the rest of their lives with me," Darling wrote on Instagram, referring to Martha and their dog.

Darling is 5-4-2 with a 2.61 goals against average and .911 save percentage this season for the Blackhawks, who are first in the Western Conference. He agreed to a two-year extension with the Blackhawks last February in a deal that will keep him in Chicago through the 2016-'17 season. Darling was pivotal in helping the Blackhawks win their first-round series against the Predators last season after starter Corey Crawford had some early struggles.
