Man Robs Hyde Park Bank
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A Chase Bank in the Hyde Park neighborhood was robbed Tuesday afternoon, marking the second time the South Side branch was robbed in less than 30 days.
A male walked into the bank at 1204 E. 53rd St. at 5:38 p.m. and handed a teller a note, demanding money, according to Chicago Police and the FBI. The robber then ran out with an undisclosed amount of money.
He implied he had a weapon, but did not show one, police said. No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male, standing between 6-foot and 6-foot-1, with a slim build, the FBI said. He was wearing a dark hooded coat, dark jeans, light tan boots and a camouflage baseball hat.

Less than 30 days earlier, another suspect robbed the same Chase Bank branch. That robbery happened about 5:50 p.m. Jan. 13 and the suspect implied he had a weapon, but did not show one, authorities said. He was described as a black man, between 20 and 30 years old, with a slender-to-medium build, the FBI said. The robber was wearing a gray knit hat with a blue stripe, a blue jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored jeans and tan shoes.
