Man Shot, Critically Wounded In Austin Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and critically wounded Thursday evening in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The 18-year-old was walking in the 5900 block of West Le Moyne Street about 7:40 p.m. when he heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and back and was able to make it to the 1400 block of North Mayfield Avenue, where authorities were notified, police said. The man was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was listed in critical condition.
