Racist Viral Video Sparks Protests At High Schools

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A racist viral video has sparked a week of protests among high school students in Maryland.

In the video, a student from Mount Hebron High rants for about 30 seconds, calling blacks inferior.

He also holds up a $5 bill with Abraham Lincoln's portrait, saying "this guy is a traitor to the white race!"

The video sparked a walkout at the Ellicott City school earlier this week.

Then, another protest at another area campus.

Hammond High School's 30-minute lunch break turned into a rally supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

"It happens every day, but that was the one time someone got caught saying something," said Hebron student Khaliq Canada

School officials have identified four students involved in the making of it.
