8 Hospitalized After 5-Vehicle Crash On Dan Ryan Expressway
(CBS) -- Eight people, including four kids, were injured following a five-vehicle accident on the Dan Ryan Expressway Sunday afternoon.
The accident took place in the outbound lanes at 53rd Street at around 3:45 p.m., according to Illinois State Police.
According to the Chicago Fire Department, eight people were injured. A total of four people were transported to Stroger Hospital, three adults in critical condition and one child in serious condition. Four people, including three kids, were transported to St. Bernard hospital in good condition.
