Aurora Store Robbery Suspects Caught On Camera

(CBS) -- Aurora police are asking for help in identifying two men captured on surveillance cameras robbing a convenience store and attacking an employee and a patron late Friday night.

The robbery occurred around 11:35 p.m. at the 7-11 in the 2200 block of South Eola Road.

The suspects, both of whom had their faces covered with bandanas, entered the business and approached the 45-year-old man who was working in the store.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and demanded money and beat the clerk.

The two men took the employee to a rear office and continued to demand money while kicking and hitting him.

While fleeing the store after grabbing cash and cigarettes worth an undisclosed amount of money, one of the suspects swung at an 20-year-old Aurora man who had entered the business. One of the robbers hit the man in the ear. The man did not require medical treatment.

The employee was treated and released from an Aurora hospital.

The suspects were both described as male blacks, 5'9" to 6'0", weighing between 160 and 180 pounds and wearing dark clothing.
