Report: Bears Interested In Broncos Safety David Bruton

(CBS) With free agency set to start in March, the Bears have interest in many members of the Broncos defense, a unit once coached by John Fox. Now, another name has entered the fold.

David Bruton, safety for Super Bowl champion Denver, is set to hit free agency and has received interest from the Bears, according to Denver Post beat writer Cameron Wolfe. Still, it appears Bruton would like to stay with the Broncos in the perfect world.

"Hopefully Denver can offer me a good amount of dollars," Bruton told the Post.

Additionally, Adam Gase's Dolphins and the Giants have established interest in Bruton, who said he will play for any team but the Patriots.

The 28-year-old Bruton had 49 tackles, two interceptions and forced two fumbles in 13 games last season with the Broncos.

The Bears are already looking likely to be involved with Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan and defensive end Malik Jackson.

Teams can begin negotiations in free agency on March 7.
