Joliet Man Charged With Multiple Counts Of Child Pornography

(STMW) -- A 31-year-old southwest suburban sex offender was charged Friday with possessing child pornography.

Juan Nunez of the 700 block of Youngs Street in Joliet was charged with two counts of Class X felony child pornography and one count of felony possession of child pornography, according to a statement from the Will County State Attorney's Office.

The Class X charge alleges that Nunez solicited two underage girls over the Internet to appear in two separate videos–one in which the girl was naked and the other in which she fondled herself, according to prosecutors.

If convicted, Nunez faces six to 30 years in prison with no option for probation.

Nunez is already on the state sex offender registry for a 2009 conviction for child pornography possession.
