Woman Shot And Killed In Armor Square
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a woman sitting in car Friday night.
Investigators say the shooting took place at 38th and Princeton, near U.S. Cellular Field at around 9:45 p.m. It's unclear how many shots were fired but at least one entered the back of a vehicle, striking the 30-year-old woman.
The woman was apparently getting a ride when the shooting took place. The car stopped in the area of 47th and State where the driver may have flagged down help.
Police say the woman was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified as Shari Graham, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
No one is in custody in connection with the shooting, police said.
