Two Plainfield Students Injured When Classmate In Car Hits Them In Parking Lot

Accident At Plainfield South

(CBS) -- Two students at Plainfield South High School are expected to be OK after getting hit by a car driven by another student Monday morning.

WBBM's Terry Keshner reports.

A student who was driving to the school hit two student pedestrians in the parking lot of Plainfield South around 7 a.m., School District 202 spokesman Tom Hernandez says. The teens were taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

"They were both conscious when they left the school. They had both spoken to their parents, and their parents met them at the hospital," he says.

The student driving the car has a driver's license, officials said.

Police are investigating.
