Police: Man Intentionally Crashed Vehicle Into Tinley Park House

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Charges are pending against a man who police say intentionally drove a vehicle into a house Tuesday in southwest suburban Tinley Park.

Officers were called to a house in the 18100 block of Mager Drive Tuesday with reports that a vehicle had struck a house and several cars, according to a statement from Tinley Park police. The crash appeared to be an intentional act.

No one in the house was injured, but the 62-year-old Romeoville man driving the vehicle had to be extricated before he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with serious injuries, police said.

An order of protection issued Feb. 1 prohibited the man from being at the house, police said. Tinley Park police had previously arrested him for domestic-related incidents.

The man remained under police guard at Christ Medical Center, and charges against him were pending, according to police.
