Police Warn Of Abduction Attempt In Bronzeville

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police have issued a warning for parents in Bronzeville, after a man tried to grab a teenager on the street and force her into his car.

The 14-year-old girl was waiting for a bus in the 300 block of East 35th Street around 7 a.m., when a man approached her, and offered her a ride, police said.

The man then got out of his car, grabbed the girl by the arm, and tried to pull her into his vehicle.

The girl was able to pull away and run. She got on the bus safely.

The victim described the man's vehicle as a newer model black car with silver door handles.

Anyone with information about the abduction attempt should call Chicago police.
