Third Woman Charged In Elgin Kidnapping, Torture Case

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A third woman has been charged with kidnapping and torturing a woman in Elgin last month, while two other suspects are still being sought.

Kassandra Delgado, 20, of the 500 block of Levine Court, was arrested Sunday and charged with home invasion, aggravated kidnapping inflicting great bodily harm, aggravated battery with a caustic substance, and aggravated battery involving torture, all felonies, according to a statement from Elgin police.

Police responded to a call of a woman being held against her will around 6:55 a.m. Feb. 27 in the 300 block of Raymond Street, where they found the injured 19-year-old woman, police said. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The woman told police she had been in a residence in the 500 block of Levine Court with her ex-boyfriend when four females entered and, with the help of her ex, forcibly removed her from the residence, police said.

They put her in a car and started beating her, and then drove her to the 300 block of Raymond Street, where they continued to beat her and hold her against her will, police said.

The victim was able to identify 19-year-old Megan Lino as one of the suspects after the attack, police said.

Lino, a Carpentersville resident, was charged with home invasion, aggravated kidnapping inflicting great bodily harm, aggravated battery with a caustic substance and aggravated battery involving torture, police said. She was unable to post a $150,000 bond and is being held in the Kane County Jail.

A second suspect, Ruby Gomez, 20, was arrested last Friday and acharged with home invasion, aggravated kidnapping inflicting great bodily harm, aggravated battery with a caustic substance and aggravated battery involving torture, police said. She is being held in the Kane County Jail.
