Man With 'Diminished Mental Capacity' Missing From Humboldt Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man with "a diminished mental capacity" was reported missing Wednesday from the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

Michael Matthews, 23, was last seen about 12:40 p.m. at his home in the 1500 block of North Washtenaw, police said.

Matthews was described as a black man, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 210 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion.

Police said he is prone to having seizures and has "a diminished mental capacity."

Matthews was last seen wearing a olive/brown-colored waist-length coat, a red flannel shirt, blue jeans and beige Timberland boots.
