Back In A Simpler Time, When Barack Obama Was Listed In The Phone Book

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Once upon a time, you could look up Barack and Michelle Obama in the phone book.

This image was posted today on Reddit, by a person who said the book was found while rehabbing a building in Hyde Park.

The Hyde Park phone book is from 2002, well before Obama rose to national prominence.

The address has been redacted, but the Obamas lived in a condo on East View Park, near 54th Street and Hyde Park Blvd., at the time.

The Obamas bought their current home on South Greenwood Avenue in the Kenwood neighborhood in 2005.

The worker found the book after Obama became president and never called the number, assuming it was probably out of service.
