White Sox Beat Padres, 10-2

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Drew Pomeranz pitched four shutout innings in the San Diego Padres' 10-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday in the final exhibition game for both teams.

The lefty held the White Sox to two singles while striking out four and walking one. Rookie manager Andy Green announced Pomeranz was part of the rotation Friday. He was acquired from Oakland in December.

White Sox starter John Danks allowed two runs and six hits in five innings while striking out two.

Avisail Garcia homered leading off the sixth, on the first pitch from Padres reliever Josh Martin, selected from Cleveland in the December draft.

San Diego's Jeremy Guthrie, signed to a minor league deal Friday, allowed seven runs, six earned, on seven hits in 3 1-3 innings.
