Cubs Set Opening Day Roster

(CBS) The Chicago Cubs have set their 25-man roster for opening day on Monday when they take on the Los Angeles Angels.

The Cubs will carry 13 pitchers and 12 position players.

Pitchers: Jake Arrieta, Trevor Cahill, Justin Grimm, Jason Hammel, Kyle Hendricks, John Lackey, Jon Lester, Neil Ramirez, Hector Rondon, Clayton Richard, Pedro Strop, Adam Warren and Travis Wood.

Aaron Brooks and Dallas Beeler will start the season on the 15-day disabled list, and Zac Rosscup will start the year on the 60-day DL.

Catchers: Miguel Montero, David Ross, Kyle Schwarber.

Infielders: Kris Bryant, Tommy La Stella, Anthony Rizzo, Addison Russell and Ben Zobrist.

Javier Baez and Christian Villanueva will start the season on the 15-day DL.

Outfielders: Dexter Fowler, Jason Heyward, Jorge Soler and Matt Szczur.
