4 Wounded In Wednesday Shootings In Chicago
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Four people were wounded in shootings Wednesday on Chicago's South Side.
Most recently, a man was shot in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The 55-year-old was shot during an argument with someone he knew inside an apartment in the 10700 block of South Eberhart at 11:35 p.m., according to Chicago Police. He was shot in both legs and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
About an hour and a half earlier, a man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood.
The 23-year-old was on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of West 69th Street just before 10 p.m. when he heard gunshots and realized he'd been shot in the finger, police said. He took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
Forty-five minutes before that, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Witnesses told investigators they saw the teen collapse after he ran from an alley in the 6000 block of South Calumet about 9:15 p.m., police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the back.
The day's first shooting happened when a 60-year-old man was shot while riding a bicycle Wednesday afternoon in Englewood.
The man was riding a bicycle in the 5600 block of South Princeton a few minutes before 1 p.m. when he heard gunshots and realized he'd been shot, police said. He was taken with a gunshot wound to the calf to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
