Breakdown: Bears 2016 Draft Class Set At 9

By Chris Emma--

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- The picks are in. The Bears have completed their 2016 draft class.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace, coach John Fox and their second-year regime completed a draft with nine selections -- each of the seven rounds represented -- and four trades.

Let's take a look at the Bears' 2016 draft class:

Round 1, Pick 9 -- Leonard Floyd, OLB (Georgia)

Bio: Explosive edge rusher who should be an instant starter in Vic Fangio's 3-4 defense. The only question with Floyd is whether he can add enough size to his slender 6-foot-6, 240-pound frame.

Quote: "I felt like it was a dream come true being drafted by the Bears." -- Floyd

Round 2, Pick 56 -- Cody Whitehair, OG (Kansas State)

Bio: The Bears twice traded down in the second round to add to their interior line, drafting Whitehair, an All-Big 12 player with the Wildcats. Now, the Bears will have competition in place on the offensive line.

Quote: "A guy we really liked in this whole process." -- Pace

Round 3, Pick 72 -- Jonathan Bullard, DT (Florida)

Bio: Perhaps one of the best steals in the entire draft, Bullard had a first-round grade and fell down to the third round. The Bears were thrilled he was there.

Quote: "I'm going to give you all I got when I'm out there." -- Bullard

Round 4, Pick 113 -- Nick Kwiatkoski, LB (West Virginia)

Bio: The Bears moved up four spots to draft Kwiatkoski, adding greater depth at linebacker. This marked Chicago's fourth trade of the draft.

Quote: "I play hard-nosed linebacker. I like to hit, I like to be physical. But I'm also versatile." -- Kwiatkoski

Round 4, Pick 124 -- Deon Bush, S (Miami)

Bio: In Bush, the Bears have added a physical safety with great instincts. He used to look up to Antrel Rolle, another Miami player. Now, Bush may replace him.

Quote: "I like to put fear in my opponent." -- Bush

Round 4, Pick 127 -- Deiondre' Hall, CB (Northern Iowa)

Bio: A versatile player with tackle-like long arms, Hall can play either cornerback or safety for the Bears.

Quote: "I've always kind of tried to model my game after him ... getting that ball out." -- Hall on former Bears cornerback Charles Tillman

Round 5, Pick 150 -- Jordan Howard, RB (Indiana)

Bio: The Bears drafted a bellcow in the fifth round, with the 230-pound Howard expected to make an impact in Chicago's backfield. Fox likes to have that stable of options.

Quote: "I'm going to come in and prove that I can play." -- Howard

Round 6, Pick 185 -- DeAndre Houston-Carson, S (William & Mary)

Bio: Houston-Carson's a skilled specialist who compiled nine blocks over his collegiate career, earning FCS All-American honors at safety.

Quote: "Special teams is huge for me. I take a lot of pride in that." Houston-Carson

Round 7, Pick 230 -- Daniel Braverman, WR (Western Michigan)

Bio: Braverman was the only receiver in college football last season to record at least 100 catches, 1,350 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. The Bears have a solid slot receiver option.

Quote: "I'm going to be the best Daniel Braverman I can be." -- Braverman
