Two Wounded In Roseland Shooting

(STMW) -- Two people were wounded in a shooting Saturday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 1:15 p.m., a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were standing at a bus stop about in the 10200 block of South Michigan when they heard shots and began to run away before they realized they had been hit, according to Chicago Police.

They were both taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. The girl suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was listed in good condition. The man was shot in the abdomen and left arm and his condition was stabilized.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
