Sunny Start To The Day, But Storms Possible Friday Night
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Friday certainly is starting out nice for the Chicago area, but a rainy afternoon and evening are on the way, ahead of a chilly weekend.
It has been a calm and sunny start to the day, with temperatures in the mid 50s, working their way to the upper 60s by the mid-afternoon.
Unfortunately, that's also when showers and possibly a few thunderstorms will begin moving through the area.
Rain is expected to continue through late Friday night, clearing out by about midnight.
This weekend should see plenty of sunshine, but temperatures will be quite chilly, with highs in the mid 50s.
Things will warm up a bit at the start of next week, with temperatures returning to the 60s, with some rain off and on in the middle of the week.
