City Announces Vendors For Riverwalk This Summer
(CBS) -- The city of Chicago has announced 13 vendors will spring up along the Chicago Riverwalk this summer.
According to a press release by the mayor's office, the vendors will officially operate in the Riverwalk from May 30 to November 1, though some are already open for the season.
Returning vendors include: include Urban Kayaks; Island Party Hut; Wheel Fun Rentals; Cyrano's Café and Wine Bar; Chicago's First Lady Cruises and Mercury, Chicago's Skyline Cruiseline; O'Brien's Riverwalk Café; City Winery; Downtown Docks; and Chicago Water Taxi.
New this year will be: Tiny Hatt, Lillies and Dulce in Horto.
The city says in 2015, the vendors generated more than $4.5 million in revenue.
By fall of 2016. the city says the Riverwalk will be extended from the west side of LaSalle Street to the north side of Lake Street.
