Woman Convicted In Daughter's Death Back In Hospital

(CBS) -- The Schaumburg woman sentenced to four years in prison for killing her disabled daughter is back in the hospital.

The attorney for 56-year-old Bonnie Liltz, Thomas Glasgow, says this is the worst that he's ever seen Liltz physically.

He went before a judge with an emergency motion for Liltz, who has been in Cook County Jail.

"She has been undergoing some health issues - some quite serious health issues," Glasgow said. "For the time being the judge has agreed to allow Ms. Liltz to stay in Stroger Hospital."

Under protective custody.

Glasgow says Liltz's health issues are related to her treatment for cancer.

She pleaded guilty to killing her disabled daughter a year ago, and she tried to kill herself.

Last week she was sentenced to four years in prison.

Glasgow says Liltz will stay at Stroger Hospital at least another two weeks.

He is asking the judge who sentenced her to reconsider the sentence.

Prosecutors had asked for probation.
