DePaul Investigates Reports Of Noose Found On Campus
CHICAGO (CBS) -- DePaul University officials are investigating reports that a noose was found on the Lincoln Park campus on Thursday.
In an email to students and faculty, the university said:
"Late this afternoon we received multiple reports that a noose -- a horrific symbol of racist intimidation -- was found on the Lincoln Park Campus. These reports are being investigated and those found to be responsible will be held accountable. Please report any information you have about this incident to Public Safety. "
The statement did not provide additional details, but WGN reports the noose was reported to be hanging from a university dorm entrance.
