Police Warn Of Armed Robberies In Rogers Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Police are warning residents of two armed robberies that happened 20 minutes apart early Tuesday in the North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.
In both incidents, the victims were approached by a man who was armed with a handgun and announced a robbery, then took the victims' property, according to Chicago Police.
One robbery happened about 1 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Arthur, while the other robbery happened about 1:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Columbia, police said.
The suspect is described as a 180-pound, 5-foot-11 black man, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and black pants, police said.
