About 4:45 p.m., he tried to rob the Citibank at 1 E. Oak, according to the FBI.

Right after that, he made off with an undisclosed amount of money from the PNC Bank branch at 877 N. Rush, the FBI said.

The robber was described as a bald white male wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, the FBI said.

It was not known Wednesday night if a weapon was involved in either incident.
