Spotty Showers This Afternoon; Summer Heat Moving In By Weekend

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Spotty showers Monday afternoon could interrupt what otherwise looks to be a warm and sunny day, ahead of an unseasonably cool Tuesday.

Most of Monday should be clear and dry, with a high near 80. Some scattered showers could begin around 4 p.m., though most areas likely will not see any precipitation.

Tuesday will be much cooler, with a high around 72, and more chances for spotty showers in the afternoon.

The rest of the week, temperatures will get gradually warmer, with summer heat moving in by the weekend, as temperatures hit the mid 80s by Friday, and the 90s on Saturday and Sunday.
