Video: Storm Chaser Gets Caught In Tornado

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A storm chaser got a little to close to the ferocity of Wednesday's storm.

Scott Peake was driving near a tornado in the town of Earlville, when the twister whipped some debris back into his windshield.

It was caught on one of his cameras.

"I saw the first circulation cross the road and I thought that was it," Peake said.

Peake thought he was out of harm's way, when some of the damage spun back into his windshield as he drove past.

"I was a little shocked. I am usually very careful."

A nearby house and barn were damaged.
