Michigan State Football Player Tells Cops He Was Punched By Warriors' Draymond Green

DETROIT (AP) -- A Michigan State football player told police that he was punched in the jaw by Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green in an incident that led to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

East Lansing police on Wednesday released a report of the incident, which occurred outside a restaurant early Sunday. The report says Green had a blood-alcohol level of 0.10 percent when he was tested later at a police station and he wasn't released until he was sober.

Michigan State cornerback Jermaine Edmondson told police he was "choked" the previous night by two men who were with the NBA player at a bar, and then he was punched by Green when he tried to talk to him on Sunday. An officer says he saw a "slap."
