Man Robs Clearing Bank Twice In A Month
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man suspected of robbing a Clearing neighborhood bank last month held up the same bank a second time Wednesday afternoon on the Southwest Side.
The man robbed the Fifth Third Bank branch at 5241 W. 63rd St. at 4:53 p.m., according to the FBI. He did not show a weapon, and the incident was described as a "non-takeover bank robbery."
The same man is suspected of robbing the same Fifth Third Bank branch at 4:48 p.m. June 28, the FBI said. He's also a suspect in the robbery of a Royal Savings Bank branch at 9226 S. Commercial at 2:30 p.m. July 12.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-6 black man in his mid-20s with a thin build, according to the FBI. He was wearing a black flat-billed hat, white jeans and a white shirt. In a previous robbery, he wore a white T-shirt and blue shorts.
