Board Rules Two Police Shootings Were Unjustified

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago's Independent Police Review Authority has ruled two police shootings into vehicles as unjustified.

In one case, an officer fatally a man in East Hazel Crest in 2013 while investigating electronic store robberies in the city and suburbs.

The other involved two officers who shot and wounded a man who drove off as police tried to stop him after an alleged drug deal on the South Side in 2015.

The authority ruled that in both cases, the officers were never in danger.
