Suspect Charged In Dress Barn Robbery In Elmhurst
(STMW) -- A man was charged Thursday with robbing a Dress Barn in west suburban Elmhurst July 15.
Anthony D. Harris, 40, of the 200 block of Blackberry Drive in Bolingbrook, was charged with aggravated robbery and taken to the DuPage County Jail, according to Elmhurst police.
About 8:30 p.m., Harris entered Dress Barn, 167 S. Route 83, and announced a robbery while implying he had a weapon, police said. He gathered store employees into a bathroom after they opened the cash registers and then left on foot.
Harris was taken into custody without incident, police said.
