Cubs' Joe Maddon Recalls Story Of Breaking Ruler With His Butt When Disciplined In 8th Grade

(CBS) Cubs manager Joe Maddon joined the Spiegel and Goff Show live in the Blue Cross Blue Shield performance studio at the CBS Radio offices Tuesday, and he talked about plenty.

Maddon discussed how team brass approached Monday's acquisition of new closer Aroldis Chapman, who's had his off-the-field issues. He discussed how he plans to use Chapman and the rest of the bullpen. And Maddon, being his usual jovial self, also regaled Jason Goff, Matt Spiegel and the studio audience with a funny tale of what happened when he and the boys chose not to dance with the ladies back in eighth grade.
