Bears' Kyle Long Offers Epic Description Of Danny Trevathan

By Chris Emma--

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. (CBS) -- The Bears expect to be a better team in 2016, and new linebacker Danny Trevathan is a major reason why.

Early in the offseason work, Bears guard Kyle Long took notice to Trevathan in a rather unique way. He offered quite the description after reporting to training camp Wednesday.

"He's one of those guys that kind of has an aura about him," Long said. "He walks in with all his chains on, he looks sharp every day like he just left a video shoot. You see him on the field and you block him, and he kind of smells good, he wears cologne. But then you get caught up in the aroma and you get hit in the chin and you get hit under the chin. And if you do get your hands on him to block him, he will fight like a crazy SOB to get off you."

In leading the Broncos' Super Bowl defense last season, Trevathan recorded a team-leading 109 tackles. Now, he's bringing a new swagger to the Bears.

Long is considered a key leader for the Bears' offense. He outlined the expectatiions for 2016 with one word: Win.

"We are aware that there's a league-wide disrespect of the Chicago Bears," Long said. "We're not very appreciative of it."
